— Reiterates Commitment To The Fight Against Crime And Criminality
The Chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd has lifted the ban on motorcycle operation across the local government area, with effect from Friday 16th June 2023.
The decision followed reports of improved security in the local government area, as a result of the success recently recorded in the fight against crime and criminality in the area.
Recall that the council chairman had placed a ban on motorcycle operations between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am following a security report on the modus operandi of the criminal gang that troubled parts of the local government area.
Meanwhile, Dr Chidi Lloyd has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the fight against crime and criminality in Emohua local government area.
The council chairman in a statement assured that his administration will stop at nothing in providing the necessary logistic support to security formations in the area with a view to ensuring the safety of lives and properties, for the overall development of the area
He however noted that the local government area was not totally free from the activities of criminals but reassured that the government was already working closely with the security agencies to apprehend the criminal gang troubling the Oduoha – Eveku and Rumuodogo axis of the East-West road.
The council chairman further urged residents of the area and road users to go about their normal business, while appealing to members of the general public, particularly residents of Emohua local government area to support the fight against insecurity with reliable information to aid the operations of the police and other security formations in the local government area.
